Survivor 7 - 7 (Part I)
The previews allude to those voted off coming back. So, we start out that Rupert is very upset the Jon voted for him. They have words and seem to mend fences. I think they are OK, but there is sill something between them. Shawn and Jon also have words. Shawn is lazy and a troublemaker. Jon is just obnoxious, but a worker. Both have targets as far as I am concerned.
RC. Typical reward challenge. Teams are locked in cages and must untie rope, retrieve keys, and dig in the sand to free all team members from the cages. Why are there 3 cage. Ah, Jeff is about to announce. The voted off team comes back and will compete against the two tribes. Here is how it works. If your tribe gets beat by the outcasts, then you go to tribal council and vote someone off. At a separate tribal council, the outcasts vote someone back in and that new member has immunity for one tribal council.
So, you have the rested outcasts that easily win the challenge again the two tired tribes.
Drake first to TC. There is a lot of discussion and it comes down to Shawn and Jon. Shawn is voted out. I think this was the right move. Jon is annoying and wont go far after the merge. Shawn is friends with Burton and I think there is a real possibility of Burton get back in the game. Don't feed that alliance. Bub Bye Shawn.
Morgan. Osten is tired and throws down his torch. Buh Bye. How many reality shows have we watch that the person or team that wants to quit ends up winning. Let see. Survivor 6 and Jenna. The Amazing Race 3 and the team that one (don't remember their names). Osten, you are stupid. Here is my theory. Osten has obviously spent a great deal of time in a gym creating a nice body. He probably comes off as a big strong man. But outside of his element, which is a gym, he is just a whinny little infant. He is asking to get voted off, citing some hypochondriac reasons, just so he can stop embarrassing himself in front of his peers. Good riddance.
To be continued...
So, we don't get to see the new members....til next week.
OK, so lets think about this. If the game goes like it should, the outcasts pick a member to join each tribe. The tribes will then merge and the next challenge will be the first individual immunity challenge. 10 will compete, and 3 will win immunity. The winner of the challenge, plus the 2 outcasts. Next up will be TC. 10 will go, 4 Drakes, 4 Morgans, and 2 Outcasts. 7 are open for vote. One will go home. What this guarantees is that the 2 outcasts will either end up on the Jury or will make the final two. Never before has this happened. People burn a lot of bridges up front because they know they will never see them again, but the final nine becomes more politics.
Andrew made an interesting observation in confessional. We will not allow these outcasts to win and will vote them out at the first opportunity. It will be 3 to 2, they cant survive. But, Andrew forgot. The merge. If Drake, for instance, would create an alliance with both of the outcasts, they could eliminate Morgan one by one. Don't know if that would work, but next weeks episode should be very interesting. A lot of politicing.

Survivor 7 - 6
More of the same old same old. Morgan still sucks. Drake is still the better tribe.
RC. Playing for a grill, seasonings, lobster and steak. This time they shoot a cannon. Drake wins one and has a nice meal. Horray for Drake.
Jon is elected to go pillage Morgan. He takes the pot (and also takes a shower). But, he talks a little smack and tells Morgan that Drake threw the Chess Challenge and that Morgan isn't that strong. I don't know if this is significant, but I think Jon is really annoying and wish he would get voted off. Something tells me this comment may percipience that vote.
IC. The teams are 6-5 going into the challenge and we all know that next week is the merge, so CBS created a challenge to give Morgan an advantage to cause a 5-5 tie going into the merge. If the teams were 6-4, then the strong tribe would simply pick off the weak tribe until it was 6-0. (ala Pagong) So, this was a strength challenge and Morgan had more big guys than Drake and won it easily.
Trish tries to get Rupert off, but can't muster enough support against the likable Rupert and ends up getting herself ousted.

Survivor 7 - 5
Not a big episode. Rupert lives for Morgan for a while and we again are reminded how lazy they are. Rupert suggests that a few logs will not hold back the tide and they should move their shelter. They spend more time arguing and resisting that it would have just been easier to move the shelter in the first place. Didn't they watch Survivor 2 when they built a shelter in a dry creekbed and it washed away?
RC. Rupert propels Morgan to an easy win and they win a shower. Kind of odd, but it was a win. The momentum is building.
IC. A gross food challenge. Michelle had a plan to get them the win. She claims she can swallow anything. But, she herself doesn't go through with the plan, Morgan wins it 3rd straight, and Michelle goes home.

Bandit Update
At his last blood draw, Bandit's platelet count is still good and his white blood cell count is almost back to normal. He still hasn't really grown back his hair where he had his Ultrasound, but they say that is due to the prednisone. Every 2 weeks, he has a blood draw and if it still looks good, they reduce his prednisone by 25%.

Survivor 7 - 4
Well, not to sound like a broken record, but Morgan still sucks. First to the RC. It's build a puzzle time. 1/2 of the pieces are buried in the sand and 1/2 are laying on the bottom of the ocean. Drake performs flawlessly. Morgan is in such a hurry that the first diver neglects to get the goggles and is searching blindly for the piece in the salt water. Here is a tip for future reality show participants: Don't get in such a hurry that you don't think about what you are doing. So often we teams just get in a hurry to do something, that they forget the whole point on the challenge. Here is one case. Consider that you will be under water, under salt water, and looking for something. It is important to use the goggles so you can actually see. Anyway, that puts them behind. So, to help out, Osten dives into the water. He swims out from shore and starts yelling for help, realizing he can't swim. Osten, you big oaf, if you can't swim, dig for a piece on the beach. Note to tribe leaders. My experience in watching these shows is that as a rule, black people do not seem to have the water skills that white people do. This is not the first time we have seen a black person step foot in the ocean for the first time on this show. So, helpful tip, water challenge, sit the blacks out. Beach challenge, use the blacks. Ok, so by the time they rescue Osten, Morgan has like 2 pieces, and Drake has already finished their challenge, plus the reward and immunity challenges from next week, and just to make it fair, reran all of the challenges from Survivors 1, 3 & 5. Drake wins. blah blah blah. takes the lamp. blah blah blah. So, Burton has regressed to his Junior high school days and is making fun of Burton. Stupid move. Strategy note. This is a popularity contest. Don't make fun of your tribe mates. Just because you were Joe Stud 20 years ago in middle school, doesn't mean that strategy will work here. Remember, you didn't win a million dollars for completing middle school and you couldn't get voted out. Anyway, Burton suggests that they need to lose a challenge because there are some annoying people to get rid off.
OK, here is another tip. Don't throw a challenge. Ever. Most games work via momentum. Just because you are 6-0 on the challenges, a lot of that is from momentum. You know up front you are going to win, and then you do. If you lose a challenge, you are only giving that momentum to the other team. So, try your hardest to win every challenge. But, Drake doesn't follow that advice and sits out their two strongest on a physical challenge and loses. But, in a Survivor twist, the winning team gets to select a member of the opposite tribe to live with them until the next challenge. So Morgan wins and take Rupert. Burton is voted out. Good thinking Burton, your plan backfired. Now, you have Burton helping out the other tribe. I don't see this as a good thing. I see Morgan gaining strength from all this now becoming a force to be reconed with.

Survivor 7 - 3
OK, Again, the Morgan tribe just sucks. First in the Boat reward challenge. Morgan takes one boat away from the melee, allowing both Drake boats to double team one Morgan. Brilliant Strategy. Next, we see Osten doing an admirable job sinking his out boat He may be big and strong, but I really don't think Osten is an asset to this team. So, Drake gets a piece of the treasure map and gets to loot Morgan again. The problem with the looting is Morgan doesn't have crap. Oh well, they take their bowl. Next, on to the IC. Again, Osten can't cut the mustard and Drake wins. Morgan, I feel, makes a major flaw in voting out Lil. She may not be the best looking or the most popular, but I think as far as a worker, she is far better than many on the tribe. Even though she never really demonstrated what I would consider to be scoutmaster skills, she is still better than others. Oh well, after two tries her torch goes out.
