Motorcycle season arrived this week in Indiana
Just in time as we saw gasoline jump from $1.85 to $2.23 in the past couple of weeks, it finally warmed up enough to switch from the Pickup to the Bike. With morning temps in the upper 20 to mid 30 and afternoon temps in the 40's to 60's and no residual snow and ice on the roads, it is a great time to ride.

This is also the time of year where you can see who is a real motorcycle rider, using their bike for their primary mode of transportation, and those who bought a Hardly Ableson because it is cool to have a bike in the garage to sine and polish, only to trailer the bike somewhere to ride, and only on sunny days.

So far, besides myself, I have seen a couple of Wings and a full dress Hardly Ableson out. And the one thing that still kills me about Harley riders is their absolute resistance to wearing a helmet. Granted, at 30 something at 60 mph, it is cold, but a nice padded full face helmet keeps your head nice and warm. But no, you still the Harley people out at a stop light, with their head wrapped in scarves, goggles, hats, and all sorts of stuff in an attempt to keep warm, when a basic helmet would do the trick, while being more comfortable and protecting you brain to boot.
