Klotz renews sponsorship for 2007
Klotz Special Formula Products of Ft Wayne has renewed their sponsorship deal for 2007. The specialized lubricant company primarily caters to small 2-stroke engines, like dirt bikes and go carts. However, we use and swear by their Uplon upper cylinder lubricant. Methanol is a fantastic solvent and washes away oil on the valve stems and cylinder walls. Uplon is mixed with the fuel and provides lubrication for these areas. Unlike engine components that are lubricated with engine oil, the fuel pump has no source of lubrication at all, so Uplon lubricates the internals of this highly important component. Methanol is also highly corrosive if left in contact with Aluminum and other metals. By adding Uplon, the risk of internal damage to the fuel system between races is significantly reduce. Lastly, Methanol burns with a nearly invisible flame. Uplon does add some color to the flame, so in the unlikely event of a fire, at least you can see where the fire is.
