Schedule Update
NTPA posted their schedule and there are some changes. First the GN Mods lost Midland, MI. I have never pulled there, but I heard it was a good pull. I know the Childs brothers did an excellent job with the Bay City pull and I really enjoyed my weekend there, and I was really looking forward to the larger facilities and better track at Midland. We also lost Salem, IL. Never heard of this pull and it was a fairly healthy drive for me. I guess it is hard to feel a loss for something you know nothing about. In it place, we picked up Monroe, MI. Like Midland, I have never pulled there, but it I have heard it is a good pull. It is also a close one for all my automotive engineer buddies in Detroit to come see me.

The pull I am most excited about is Frankfort, IN. I think Frankfort has one of the best power tracks in the country and I am really excited that they are having RN Mods back. We pulled there a couple times and loved it, but their fair board moved the fair on top of a RN pull in Michigan (Charlotte or Hartford?). Afraid they wouldn't get vehicles (and they were probably right), they dropped MODs for some other class. Well we are back. Best part, it is the closest pulling track to my house.

The only other change, is that it looks like we pull 1st and 3rd sessions at Tomah, instead of 2nd and 3rd. I have mixed feelings about that as well. I really don't like pulling during the day because the track dries out and it just gets really hot standing around waiting to pull in a fire suit. But, on the plus side, this is still and early pull and that will give us more time between runs to check things out on the tractor. Plus, having the sun out really makes for good pictures. I will say, the track crew at Tomah is probably the best in the country at keeping moisture in the track.

Cool picture
This is little old, but I just ran across it. When it was still warm (I have an uninsulated shop) I tore down the tractor to the chassis for Pm, cleaning, and updates. I had all 4 motors lined up in a row and snapped this shot. Since it has turned cold, I have switched to freshening motors which I do in an insulated and heated room.

Schedule Update
Looks like Arcola will fall on top of Georgetown, so we will miss Arcola. That is too bad because it is a good pull. Kendallville always follows Arcola, so that one goes away as well, as it is too far of a drive from Georgetown to Kendallville and back home, for 1 state hook. It is a lot of work for us to switch from 4 motors to 3 and back to 4.

Website Update
I am going through the entire website and made some updates. Many changes are really noticeable, but will make it easier for me to update. Some changes were significant. I removed the class and pulling pages. They didn't really seem to add much value and were usually out of date. I added a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page. Here I answer many of the questions I am frequently asked via e-mail and in person at the pulls. I also posted a preliminary schedule based on last years dates and the pre-commit application I received from NTPA. Right now I have Midland and Arcola overlapping. I really want to go to Arcola, but I have committed to Midland. When I get firm dates, we will see what can be worked out, but more than likely, I won't be at Arcola. The points page gets generated from the same database as the schedule. This is a guess until we get to the first pull.
I also am in the process of adding pictures to the more recent pulls. I want to thank Terry Allin for allowing me to link to his website. Each pull will have a thumbnail of my tractor. If you click on that picture, it will take you Terry's website with pictures of all vehicles for that event. You can then click on any of those pictures for a larger shot. If you see a picture you like (mine or otherwise) please contact Terry for information on reprints.
